100% of the proceeds go to B4BC
Boa Technology, the innovators behind the Boa Closure System found on snowboard boots, medical equipment, and sporting shoes, has had a year for the record books. In February 2011, Boa celebrated their 10-year anniversary.? In August, Outside Magazine named the company the fourth ?Best Place To Work.? And despite the rising unemployment rate in the US, Boa Technology is growing at a ridiculous rate. The company continues to hire and expand their walls (literally).
Now, Boa announces a philanthropic endeavor with Boarding For Breast Cancer (B4BC) that is sure to put both companies on Santa?s ?Good List.?
Boa and B4BC-a non-profit foundation dedicated to raising awareness and early-detection in breast cancer-have teamed up to launch project ?Reel Pink.? This national campaign launched Tuesday, September 6th, and is aimed at spreading the word about early detection in breast cancer.
?Early detection of breast cancer can be a game changer,? says Boa Creator and Founder Gary Hammerslag. ?Boarding for Breast Cancer excels at educating kids and adults on the importance of early detection of this disease and we are excited to help their cause by teaming up to release these limited edition pink dials for snowboarders. ?Adding a pink dial to your boots will show you have joined in the fight against breast cancer.?
For every pink reel sold, 100% of the proceeds will be donated to B4BC?s education programs.? Riders can purchase a pink reel for $10, replace it with their current snowboard-boot reel, and represent the mission.
?We are delighted to be partnering with Boa Technology and the Reel Pink program as a fun, innovative way to keep young people healthy, active and ultimately educated,? says B4BC Director of Development Erika Sward. ?Every time a rider swaps out their snowboard boot dials with Reel Pink ones, they will be supporting B4BC?s breast cancer education programs in a super stylie way!?
Reel Pink snowboard product will be limited to High Power Boa H2 and H2 Coiler dials. ?Boa partner product includes, but is not limited to the following: Snowboard boots from all partners and snowmobile boots by HMK.
Boa will ship tools and instructions with each purchase and will provide video tutorials and product information on the website for making the incredibly easy Reel Pink transition.
